Prayer : ‘Your kingdom come, your will (desire) be done, on earth as it is in heaven.‘
Emperors and Kings :
In ancient times, we read of Emperors who conquered lands near and far and annexed it and expanded their kingdom.
Sometimes, the smaller kings willingly submitted to the emperor, so they could enjoy the protection against enemies and the benefits, the emperor provides with his large army and power.
The Emperor had the Sovereign power, yet he gave power to his Kings.
So the Kings ruled over their kingdoms, had power, took care, yet the Sovereign power lies with the Emperor and his desire was done through out his kingdom.
My Kingdom :
Like the smaller kings, to each one of us when God put us on earth, he did give a kingdom, he did give us power - stewardship over atleast certain things / people. A family, a spouse, children, a team, society, a space, house, organization and people he puts in our life and our own self - body, spirit and soul. None of us he sends here empty handed.
There is a kingdom he has given to each one of us ! Whether to rule on our own OR to surrender to the Sovereign God and rule our kingdom under his guidance - The choice is ours !
Prayer :
Let your Kingdom come ! and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.' !
Lord ! Who am I to wish that your kingdom comes to earth !
Lord ! who am I to wish that your will is done on earth !
Lord ! Who am I to say that people here on earth, speak and do your desires !
Lord ! What reach or control do I have, over things happening here on earth !
Let my kingdom become yours ! Let your desires be established in my kingdom !
Lord ! help me not to worry about my inability to change the earth and bring Your Kingdom here ;
Lord ! help me not only to strive in prayer and deeds to bring Your Kingdom to the whole earth ;
Lord ! help me to Surrender my small kingdom to You ;
Lord ! Give me the Wisdom and show me how I can make my kingdom Yours ;
Lord ! Give me the Strength and Humility to surrender my kingdom to You ;
Lord ! Send me the Help needed that my kingdom become Yours ;
Lord ! I establish Your Rulership in my Kingdom - over me and all that you have given me !
Lord, my Kingdom is Yours !
only Your Rulership in my kingdom ;
only Your Desire be done here ;
only Your Voice prevails here ;
Let Your Kingdom come ! and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.'
