Over 2000 years ago, in the fields near Bethlehem the host of angels were excited to announce the birth of baby Jesus to the Shepherds. Even after over 2000 years, we look forward every year to enter this Christmas season with Joy and Cheer….
… a mood of festivities and preparations allaround !
…a month of lights, trees, trinkets and stars !
… a time with loved ones, gatherings, good food, gifts and cheer !
… a sound of carols, skits and fun!
What’s so special about this baby born? Why is it a ‘Good tiding of Great Joy’ ?
We read about and celebrate some people …. high achievers or noble beautiful souls or people of power, status, wealth … all who make an impact. But unless we experience some goodness of that person in our life or have a personal touch with them, we don’t realize and enjoy the real worth of that person.
In these 12 days shall we look into 12 Promises, Hope given in the ‘Word’ about this baby Jesus.
Shall we ponder over if we have experienced the goodness of ‘these Promises’ for real in our life ?
Shall we look into our heart to see if for something within it,..we can look forward with ‘this Hope’ ?
Shall we ponder over the relevance of ‘these promises‘ in our day-to-day life ?
Shall we try to identify his presence and the power of his presence in our day-to-day life ?
“GOOD TIDINGS of GREAT JOY” – the Angels sang with excitement! Lets ponder over if it is really a good tiding of great Joy for us !
