" For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2 :11
Angels announced that the baby born is ‘Christ the Lord.’
Christ meaning ‘the anointed one’ – a person who is specially empowered for a special task, purpose. Angels announced that this baby Jesus was anointed as a Saviour.
Saviour !?...... to save from what??? Oh! Do I need a saviour? Ain’t I Strong enough, Wise enough, Smart enough to navigate my journey alone ?
The angels announced that he came as a saviour to accompany us in our journey…..
to save us from unknown darkness !
from unknown dangers and evil – with a ring of protection around us !
from unexpected jolts of life – with help and strength to recover !
to save us from the world !
to not to be upset or distracted from people’s attitudes and behaviour– and to move forward with the right attitude completing our tasks!
from the temptations of this world (its glamour, pleasures, money) – and to make the right choices!
to save us from our own flesh (self) !
from our own flesh’s weakness, emotions – and not lose our focus and purpose!
from our own bubble world – and give us a true realization of ourself !
from any past shame or guilt that haunts –and fill our mind with calm and cheer!
to bear the consequence of our ignorance and restore us – and give us the understanding of the present!
to take our punishment for the rebellion– and draw us back with acceptance!
to take our punishment for the wickedness – and give us hope of freedom !
to save us from our wounds –and to heal our soul and body !
to break the hurdles before us … real or imaginary – and help us move forwardand accomplish what we ought to!
